STEP BY STEP RUSSIAN VISA GUIDANCE

Choose the Russian visa type you need, or, if you belong to a certain group of people, travel without a visa. 

Obtain a visa invitation to Russia. (This must be drawn up by a registered travel agent or the PVU [Passport and Visa Service] of the Ministry of Internal Affairs).

Contact your local Russian Consulate to find out their official requirements for obtaining a visa, which differ from area to area.

Prepare the required package of documents.

Apply for the visa at the Russian Consulate in your chosen country.

Fill in a Russian visa application form and pay the consular fees. 

Pick up your visa after the required length of time and check it carefully, or find out the reasons given for a Russian visa refusal.
